Nardello & Co. was retained by a London-based bank to conduct due diligence on a Saudi family that had been targeted as a prospective partner by the bank. The client's initial research had identified several areas of concern that could have blocked the deal, and they wanted our firm to dig deeper into the prominent family's background. Working with law enforcement sources, we were able to make clear distinctions between groups within this very large family. Although a small section of the Saudi family had been accused of having links to terrorist funding, Nardello & Co. determined that the members involved in the client's deal were beyond suspicion. The deal was able to proceed.
