The Panama Papers and the Road to Transparency: With the new data release on May 9, investigators look at the facts
When the Panama Papers were first revealed last month, the country of Panama found itself at the center of a world-wide storm of financial disclosures. Now the world is being rocked again, absorbing the second round of data released on Monday May 9th. The largest data leak in history, the Panama Papers encompass 11.5 million documents from a Panamanian law firm covering the financial dealings of the firm’s clients, along with client information for over 214,000 offshore companies.
