Michael J. Ramos - Managing Director and General Counsel
Michael Ramos's 18-year investigative and legal career has been defined by his commitment to excellence. Progressing from corporate investigator to attorney to federal prosecutor, Michael returned to investigative practice joining Nardello & Co. as Managing Director and General Counsel. A former Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, Michael prosecuted fraud, money laundering and narcotics cases, many with complex international components. He was responsible for some of that Office's most significant multi-agency international investigations focusing on Southeast Asia and South America. While there, Michael brought 18 cases to trial.
Michael's private sector contributions include providing insight into the inner workings of federal agencies and how these might inform and support our clients' litigation strategies. His expertise in leading investigative teams in assembling and analyzing pertinent information is founded in his earlier legal career at Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, where he litigated civil cases and conducted internal corporate investigations. Michael also clerked for US Magistrate Judge Joan M. Azrack in the Eastern District of New York.
Before beginning his legal career, Michael Ramos was an associate director with another international investigative firm, where he conducted pre-transaction due diligence, asset searches and fraud investigations on behalf of Fortune 500 corporations, financial institutions, law firms and foreign governments.
Michael Ramos received his JD degree from Brooklyn Law School and a BA degree from Rutgers University.
