Understanding Your Risks in Advance
Self Due Diligence - Europe
A European company in the luxury travel sector was considering raising capital through an IPO. In order to take the company public, the company's board needed to be aware of any discoverable information relating to its chairman, who had notoriously been involved in many European financial scandals stretching back several decades. Nardello & Co. located key witnesses and uncovered a vast amount of relevant public records and litigation files. Our findings were presented to the board in a report that provided a picture of what any outside due diligence exercise would be likely to turn up. In light of the information and insights presented, the board decided to forego the issuance of an IPO and sought capital funding elsewhere.
