Case study: Negotiating to extricate assets
Experience/Corrupt Partner in Mexico

Corrupt Partner in Mexico

For a large multinational client, Nardello & Co. established that a client’s business partner in Mexico had links to several drug cartels. We successfully deployed local resources to remove our client’s physical assets from the business partner’s site and assisted in negotiating a favorable termination of their joint venture agreement.

However, the client’s potential problems continued as certain Mexican government agencies, which were holding additional assets belonging to the client, sought payoffs in order to release them.

Working closely with the client, we engaged in negotiations that led to the release of these assets without improper payments to government officials.
