Calvary Hospital is the only fully accredited acute care specialty hospital in the US exclusively providing palliative care for adult patients with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Their programs include inpatient care, pain management, hospice, home care with bereavement and support programs for families and friends. Founded in 1988 by historian Ruth Abram and social activist Anita Jacobson, the Lower East Side Tenement Museum explores the uniquely American story of immigration and the rich, diverse landscape it continues to create. The Tenement Museum aims to build an inclusive and expansive American identity and believe that the exploration of our complex history—one with moments of both inclusion and exclusion—helps prepare us to recognize and discuss today’s complex issues with empathy and nuance. As the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping the homeless in New York City, the Coalition is dedicated to the principle that affordable housing, sufficient food, and the chance to work for a living wage are fundamental rights in a civilized society. Each and every year it is our pleasure to sponsor their Annual ArtWalk NY events as well as their Women Mean Business Luncheons that benefit the Coalition for the Homeless’ First Step job training program. OAD is a not-for-profit law firm devoted to providing excellent legal representation to indigent persons convicted of felonies in Manhattan and the Bronx. For many years now, we’ve been very pleased to sponsor the OAD’s annual First Monday fundraising event. The DC Volunteer Lawyers Project was founded in 2008 to create, support, and utilize a network of volunteer lawyers to provide high-quality, pro bono legal services to domestic violence victims and at-risk children in Washington, DC.
